Paul works primarily with local municipalities, providing guidance to elected and appointed officials, boards, commissions, and committees. He also represents individuals and small businesses in real estate, estate planning, probate, and collection matters. A former Assistant Corporation Counsel for Marathon County, Paul was responsible for child support, zoning, condemnation, and collections. Paul graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin Law School, and is admitted to practice in all Wisconsin state and federal courts.

- Real estate and land use issues: including, purchase agreements; rezoning, variance, and conditional use permitting; as well as development, utility, and easement agreements
- Ordinance interpretation, drafting, codification, and enforcement litigation
- Compliance with open meetings and records laws, liquor licensing, and election issues
Examples of Paul’s Recent Client Work
- Represented a municipality in acquiring and remediating a known spill site and obtaining state financial assistance for demolition and cleanup
- Assisted in negotiating and drafting an agreement for a $1.8 million private donation to a municipal building project
- Obtained dismissal of a certiorari action challenging a municipal zoning determination
- Successfully defended a FSBO seller against a misrepresentation claim
